Consumer GPU nodes available in Argon

On August 23, 2018 new compute nodes supporting consumer GPUs were added to the Argon system. These systems contain up to four NVidia 1080 Ti or Titan V GPU's per node. These resources are currently available in the following queues:

• UI-GPU
• CLAS-INSTR-GPU
• COB-GPU
• COE-GPU
• Informatics-GPU
• MS

These GPUs can be requested via the -l <resource> argument to the scheduler.  For details please see the: Argon Cluster Documentation.

This expansion includes the addition of 24 GPU cards to the UI-GPU queue that are available to all campus users.
